Well, I survived week one of my new job, and it’s into week two. I was very tired last week and it’s trickled into this week, even though I’ve been trying to get to bed before 10 o’clock every night. The job is great, though. We’re working to hammer out details of the next issue now, which is exhaustive but enthralling. I love bouncing ideas around and seeing what creative minds can come up with. This should be an interesting couple of months.
This weekend was pretty relaxing, as Adam and I watched many, many episodes of Lost season 3 and lots and lots of football. Sunday I had a bridal show to attend in Mobile and then hit the gym. We also started packing for our move at the end of the month. I can’t wait. The week after we move in is Mardi Gras, so we should be able to just walk a few blocks to see the parades. Adam and I haven’t really gotten in to the whole Mardi Gras thing since we’ve lived here, though it’s a very big deal. Mardi Gras originated in Mobile, and there’s a lot of history involved in their celebration. And it’s not like New Orleans where every woman is showing her breasts for beads. Everyone here calls it “family friendly.”.
