Because Barnes & Noble sent me a 40% off any music in the store coupon, and because I accomplished my 10K running goal, I purchased two new CDs this weekend.
Once Soundtrack
Adam and I watched this movie a few months ago. We both really enjoyed it (I was surprised that he did) and loved the music. Just last week I told Adam that they play “Falling Slowly” on my favorite radio station, and he asked me if I ever bought the soundtrack. I hadn’t then but did this weekend. It’s a real treat, especially if you already like Damien Rice-esque folksy music.
A Fine Frenzy–One Cell in the Sea
A while back, Starbucks gave me a free itunes download for a song from this album. The best word I can use to describe this one is earthy. The lead singer’s voice is quite soothing–good for background music at work.
Also on current rotation:
Jack Johnson–Sleeping Through the Static
Iron & Wine–The Shepherd’s Dog
Over the Rhine–The Trumpet Child
